Bowling Green, KY is the birthplace of Newgrass Music and this past weekend was the first annual International
Newgrass Festival. A big thanks to Kenny Lee for hosting the event. There were great artists scheduled all weekend long. I made it out on Saturday night to see several of the original members performing in their own solo bands. There was
Curtis Burch, the amazing vocals of
John Cowan, and the father of Newgrass,
Sam Bush. At the end of the night Curtis and John came back on stage with Sam for some original Newgrass Revival songs.
I had a great time shooting this and enjoying the music. It was a wonderful cool August evening.
